The exhibition "Ribellione - Empörung" at Abbazia di Novacella dives into the revolt that took place 500 years ago, when the Abbey was stormed by peasants protesting against the ecclesiastical lords and demanding better social, economic and religious conditions. The exhibition centers on the concept of “revolt”, which shaped the entire visual identity. Bold, expressive typography gives voice to the protesters, while fragmented text reflects the destruction of documents occurred during the uprising.
The exhibition system unfolds throughout the Abbey, echoing the historical occupation of the space. A numbered path guides visitors through the circular flow of the architecture.

Since the form of the castle is kind of "misshaped", a system based on layered particle wood was created, that are basically not fixed on the walls
